Spring Blanket / Trade Day

We have a Blanket / Trade day usually every April however dates vary. Many living historians work all winter producing clothing and period correct items to sell, and our trade faire is their first stop of the season. Items for sale are not limited to just reenacting, we also welcome trade blankets with modern yard sale goods. You never know what you’ll find.
Potluck Dinner / Annual Association Meeting
2nd Sunday in September at 1:00 pm
The Red River Meeting House Association meets on the grounds for their annual business meeting. A potluck dinner begins at 1:00 pm and is followed by a church service and business meeting. If you are there, you are considered a member.
Primitive Camp Meeting and Rendezvous
2nd full weekend in October
Starting in 1995, this event was started with a vision. It still remains the main reenacting event at Red River and the largest. Church services are held on Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday morning. We also have an auction with all proceeds going to the upkeep of the meeting house and grounds. Donations for the auction are always welcome. History lessons are presented everyday of the event.
Schochoh Christmas Parade / Christmas Service
1st Sunday in December
The Schochoh Christmas parade initially started as a joke, but now it rivals and surpasses the Christmas parades of other local towns. The parade starts at 2:00 pm, goes down through the center of Schochoh and ends up at the Community Center where a free BBQ dinner is held (donations for the upkeep of the Schochoh Community Center are appreciated). Afterwards at 4:00 pm there will be a candle light Christmas service held at the Red River Meeting House.
Monthly Church Services at the Meetinghouse
First Sunday of the Month at 3:00 pm (Except in December)
A church service is held by Tom Ruley. Speakers vary.
